A Message from Leadership
Dear Nineteeners,
Back in early 2019, Alison may remember one of our first NineteenXchange presentations. Then called 'Town Hall' (yuck!)
The vision announced was to build one of the best major events businesses in the world, with a £100m turnover. We were at £5m that year!
We've done it! π That is down to the seriously talented people who have joined this journey.
So⦠Vision 2.0 is coming.
Today, we are 350 people across five global HQs. So we will unite and set the instruments for our next altitude. Ambitious, pushing boundaries, and full of opportunity for everyone inside Nineteen to grow and progress.
More coming! π
For now, I'm having a small moment.
Four major-scale shows in two weeks. There was a time when the whole year revolved around one show, two days. How far we've come.
Thank you,
Peter Jones
Group CEO
On 22nd April, the world came together to celebrate Earth Day, an initiative that serves as a reminder to care for our planet, while raising awareness of the more sustainable practices and habits we can all adopt to help achieve a net-zero future.
Each year, we work with ecollectivecarbon to measure the full impact of our business and events across the entire value chain. This year, the results tell an honest and encouraging story.
We are proud to share that the carbon efficiency of our events has improved significantly. The average footprint per attendee fell 19%, from 195 to 158 kg COβe, and the average footprint per event fell 20%, from 1,856 to 1,481 tonnes COβe. Visitor travel was one of the main driving factors behind this reduction, as more delegates took advantage of public transport through our partnership scheme with Avanti West Coast.
However, as Nineteen has grown rapidly, so has our total footprint, rising 17% from 24,133 to 28,131 tonnes COβe between 2024 and 2025. We are not shying away from that figure. It reflects our expansion, but it also reflects how much further we have to go.
We will continue measuring annually, continually reassessing our methodology and finding new ways to reduce the environmental impact of every event we produce.
Here's to working together to create a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Nineteen!
Commercial Vehicle Show: Fueling Change across the Industry
This year's Commercial Vehicle Show took us for a spin, and it did NOT disappoint!
As the UK's premier event for road freight, transport, distribution, and logistics, CVS delivered everything we could want from an event uniting fleet managers and logistics leaders. We're talking:
π Expert insights from those leading the pack and driving change across the industry
π World exclusive product launches during live demonstrations and workshops, no detours, straight to the good stuff
π Taking the very latest models for a spin in our test and drive area
π Shifting gears on decarbonisation and steering the sector toward a cleaner tomorrow
π And MORE because there was plenty more road to cover!
From 21st to 23rd April, the team slipped into the fast lane, working non-stop to pull off this record-breaking event.
Amelia, Dan, Emily, Jiya, Jim, Maggie, Sarah, and Susan worked across 6 stages, 320 exhibitors, and 15,000 visitors, keeping the wheels turning. That's a 15% year-on-year increase in footfall and 30% more exhibitors than in 2025! Also, a shoutout to Nick, Olly, Phil, and Rob, who kept sales high with a 75% rebook rate.
Smashing job, Team!
Until next year, time for a pit stop, we think!
Showing Support for our Veterans at CVS!
But that's not all! At this year's Commercial Vehicle Show, Nineteen was proud to publicly sign the Armed Forces Covenant alongside Samsara and Hewland Engineering Limited. Hosted by Mission Community and supported by the UK Ministry of Defence, Group Event Director Nick Davison took to the stage on behalf of Nineteen to make a public pledge of support for Service Leavers, Reservists, Veterans, Cadets, and their families.
As event organisers, the signing of the covenant also speaks to the kind of platform we want our events to be: one that connects industry with opportunity, unites people around shared values, and drives genuine impact across the sector.
We look forward to continuing our work with Mission Community, giving a platform to this extraordinary community across a number of our events and shining a spotlight on the heroes within our own ranks who have served.
A huge congratulations to Nick Davison and Dan Burton for their dedication to bringing this partnership to life alongside the team at Mission Community and the UK Ministry of Defence.
Women in Transport Partners with Commercial Vehicle Show's 'Driven By Her' Programme
Women in Transport has been announced as the official Chair and sponsor of Driven By Her, part of the Commercial Vehicle Show's new ambassador programme, Celebrating Every Journey.
Led by Sarah Buzzato, the initiative champions diversity, inclusion, and future talent across the road transport sector, with Driven By Her specifically addressing the barriers women face when entering, progressing within, and remaining in the industry.
As the UK's leading not-for-profit dedicated to empowering women in transport, Women in Transport has grown into one of the sector's most influential voices, driving change through mentoring, networking, advocacy, and research, and helping more women build successful careers across the industry.
The debut Celebrating Every Journey sessions proved a real highlight, with strong audience turnout and standing-room-only crowds gathering at the Future Fleet Arena on day three! Congrats to the team for championing such a fantastic cause!
Say hello to Truck Norris: CVS' HOTTEST new mascot!
After many years of loyal service, we regrettably announce that Keanu Revs has gone into a long-overdue retirement...
(Pauses for a collective "Awww" from the readers)
But shift that frown upside-down, because we are THRILLED to introduce a YOUNGER, HOTTER, SWANKIER mascot for the Commercial Vehicle Show going forward.
Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to... Truck Norris! π
And boy, did they hit the ground running! Truck Norris took centre stage at CVS and was an absolute highlight for visitors, who were queueing up for photos, selfies, and autographs... (okay.., we may have made that last one up).
A massive shoutout to Jim Lin for doing a truly stand-up job bringing Truck Norris to life! We're assuming you're available for birthdays and weddings too, Jim?!
And check out the photo of Maggie Law and Sarah Buzzato getting Jim/Truck stage-ready. Well, they do say it takes a village to look this good!
Bus & Coach Show
The Bus & Coach Expo 2026 arrived with real impact.
A bustling show floor, live vehicles, and a ride & drive experience created an energy that ran through the entire event.
UK launches drew the crowds, the Leaders Forum sparked meaningful conversation, and by the end, it was clear: this wasn't just a promising debut, it was a statement of intent.
Retail Technology Show 2026: DISCO-vered
The Retail Technology Show returned to London's ExCeL last week, and the dancefloor was packed.
12,417 retail professionals made their way through the doors, up 23% year-on-year in both number and calibre, with C-suite attendance rising a further 5%. Not even a London tube strike could keep the disco divas away. πΊπͺ©
Headline speaker and Dragon's Den star Touker Suleyman described the innovation on show as "overwhelming," and with 446 exhibitors lighting up the dance floor across AI, ecommerce, supply chain, logistics, customer engagement, and personalisation, who can blame them!
Over 125 retail leaders, brand powerhouses, and industry figures took to the conference stage to explore the trends redefining the sector, among them M&S Chair Archie Norman, TALA Founder Grace Beverley, and Sephora MD Sarah Boyd.
If anything, this year's theme proved that the Retail Technology Show is where the industry comes to get down and stay ahead of the latest groove! β
Safety & Security Is a Sensation!
As most of you are aware, this week Nineteen took over the majority of The NEC for this year's highly anticipated Safety & Security Event Series!
While the final stats and figures are still being tallied, one thing is already crystal clear: this show has been absolutely electric.
From health & safety and fire safety to workplace, security, cyber security, and AV & lighting, the series brought together different industries, different conversations, and one unmistakable buzz of connection running through every handshake, every panel, and every encounter on the show floor.
And that is exactly why we do what we do.
The soul of these communities is what fuels our events and pushes us to raise the bar with every show cycle. This week has been a powerful reminder of that, and of the very real potential our events have to change lives and connect people for the greater good.
With Day 3 currently underway, everyone involved truly deserves a HUGE congratulations for the monumental effort and teamwork that have gone into making this such an incredible event.
Alison Jackson represented Nineteen at the signing, joined by SOS CEO Dawn Dines, where she also presented SOS with a donation to their £1 Challenge Initiative, contributing £1 per Nineteen employee towards the campaign.
Nineteen is proud to be the first official sponsor to support such a worthy cause and hopes that using such an incredible platform like The Safety & Security Series will inspire many more organisations to follow suit and dig deep.
We look forward to working with Dawn and the wider SOS network on promoting further awareness and education across our portfolio of global events! Scan the QR code to find out more about the Stamp Out Spiking campaign!
Once that spotlight hit, the Finance Team was in full control, taking our Nineteeners on a journey to demystify all things finance, with an extra slice of comedy thrown in for good measure!
We learned about AP, payroll, management accounts, and even got a sneak peek at some very exciting long-term growth plans. Oh, and a special shoutout to the real MVP, Ol' Faithful Celeste the printer, keeping it together through every invoice and statement.
To top it all off, they wrapped up with the BIG FAT FINANCE QUIZ, where lucky winner Ollie Kaye took home a chocolate calculator. Who knew finance could be so delicious!?
Great job, Team Finance!

Peter and Ruth Take Us on a Tour of our NEW HQ!
The buzz around our new home at Wimbledon Quarter is very real, and last week Peter and Ruth gave us an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour to show just how far things have come.
WE HAVE WALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Think wellness studio, a sunken garden, a TEDxTheatre, and a space that's double the size of our beloved Alwyne Road base. It's shaping up to be something seriously special, and we cannot wait to get in there!
Check out the video for your sneak peek at all the action happening on site. Trust us, you'll want to see this!
A massive thank you to Ruth, who has been leading the charge on this mammoth project from day one, navigating blueprints, colour palettes, and approximately one million metres of WiFi cabling (okay, slight exaggeration... or is it?!). It is no small feat, and Ruth is doing an incredible job!
Our new place is starting to take shape, and the results are speaking for themselves.
More updates to follow, so watch. this. space. π
But it's not only the interior that's getting a sprinkle of Nineteen magic! πͺβ¨
Nick has been busy with all things branding, making sure our new office is loudly and PROUDLY shouting who we are and what we do!
Teaming up with the lovely lot at Oktra, Nick designed vinyl wrapping across the interior and exterior windows at Wimbledon Quarter, letting everyone in the local area know that Nineteen ARE MOVING IN. Consider it a very stylish heads up.
The visuals turned out better than we could have hoped, and the best part? Visitors can take a virtual tour of our new HQ with a simple scan of a QR code. First impressions, nailed.
Excitement is already building and we can't wait to keep spreading the word about the incredible work our Nineteeners are doing, day in, day out!
Here's looking at you, Q2! πβ¨
April has been a high-energy month for Nineteen Americas, marked by strong collaboration, meaningful in-person engagement, and growing momentum across teams.
As we move further into Q2, the organisation is focused on preparing for a high-impact event season.
Check out the video from Mary and get to know the GROWING team over in Nineteen Americas! π π
Maybe you will recognise some of the friendly faces who appear!
Manufacturing Brilliance at the Boston Team Meet-Up! πβ¨
Melissa united the sales, marketing, and ops teams from ReliabilityWeb and Smart Manufacturing Week in Boston. Equal parts strategy, team-bonding, and immaculate vibes, bringing the team together helped to cement that team spirit after a busy first quarter, which included both an acquisition and a launch event. π
Great ideas are powered by even greater food, so after a hard day of strategy, the team headed out for a much-needed refuel at dinner! π
Bellies full, the team headed home re-energised, aligned, and ready to hit the ground running by bringing the Americas our FIRST Smart Manufacturing Week! πͺ
We're definitely buying what they're selling!
Jon Lacey Visits Boston Office
The Boston team was delighted to welcome Jon Lacey during his recent visit! π©΅
Bringing together two ICONS at once, Jon's first day in the office coincided with the famous Boston Marathon on 20th April, bringing a unique and energetic atmosphere to the city. The streets were filled with runners and spectators, many proudly wearing their well-earned medals, creating a vibrant backdrop for Jonβs introduction to the Boston office.ππ¨π
His visit provided a valuable opportunity for in-person connection and engagement with the team. Thanks for visiting us, Jon! π₯°
Three shows, Two weeks, OneNineteen πͺβ¨
We are heading into a busy stretch with three events over the course of two weeks: SubSummit (13-15 May in Kansas City, Kansas), The RELIABILITY Conference (19-21 May in San Francisco, California), and The Lead Summit ( 20-21 May in New York City, New York).
Thereβs a lot of coordination happening behind the scenes, a strong reflection of the pace weβre operating at.
Let's gooooo, Nineteen Americas! π£
Building Sydney Build and SMASHING Records!!
The energy across every inch of the show was electric, buzzing with thousands of attendees and exhibitors networking, pumping music, and some cracking entertainment! (Just don't feed the gulls...π₯π)
Every conference stage was bursting at the seams, celebrating the highest number of government and ministerial speakers at a Build Expo! And to top it all off, our show got official endorsement from Chris Minns, Premier of New South Wales! πβ¨
Huge shoutout to the team who have worked tirelessly over the past 12 months to bring the largest Festival of Construction and Sydney Build Expo to date!
It's been a busy week in the Hong Kong office, and we've been delighted to welcome back two familiar faces in Gigi and Steph, as well as Felix, who is visiting Hong Kong for the first time. Busy behind the scenes with Sydney Build preparation, the team is in full swing and pulling together brilliantly. There's a real sense of momentum building, and all signs point to a fantastic show*.
(*Editor's note: CAN CONFIRM IT WAS A FANTASTIC SHOW)
A well-deserved shoutout from the Hong Kong office to the teams behind the Commercial Vehicle Show, Retail Technology Show, and The Safety & Security Series Event for their events this week. They all looked super busy!
The End of an Era! Saying Goodbye to Selena!
Last Thursday, the Oliver Kinross team headed to Do Not Disturb to give the one and only Selena Moseley a send-off in proper style!
After more than 15 years working on the Oliver Kinross Build Expos, Selena nurtured them with her expertise and industry knowledge, helping grow them into the MASSIVE events they are today. π
Selena's leaving behind an incredible legacy, and Oliver Kinross and the wider Team Nineteen will miss her dearly π₯Ή.
Selena, you've left big shoes to fill and even bigger memories behind!
Come visit us in the new office after your travels Down Under! π¦ππ
A little Reflection from Selena...
"My events journey began in 2011 when I joined Oliver Kinross as an Office Assistant. My first task was getting a kitchen built. Little did I know that moment would shape the next 15 years of my life.
What started as a simple role grew into something much bigger. I immersed myself in operations, production, and marketing, eventually moving into Head of Production and then Head of Marketing & Production, helping build teams, shape departments, and take the company global.
From temporary offices in Malaysia and Thailand to launching in Hong Kong, conferences worldwide, stepping into exhibitions in 2015, and pivoting to online events during the pandemic, it genuinely feels like I've lived multiple careers in one.
Through it all, it's the people who've made it so special. Working alongside so many brilliant humans at Oliver Kinross and Nineteen Group has been a true privilege.
As I move on, I do so with a full heart and deep gratitude. If this journey has taught me anything, it's simple: stay passionate, stay curious, be kind, be bold, and give even the smallest tasks everything you've got. Amazing things will follow."
Theo Takes Madrid Marathon in Style!
On Sunday 26th April, Theo Boutell swapped his ordinary attire for his best running shoes and headed to Madrid to take on the Zurich Rock 'n' Roll Running Series!
After months of gruelling training, Theo slathered on the factor 50 and channelled his KADI spirit to conquer all 26.2 miles on the Spanish asphalt. And the best part? He's doing it all for a truly great cause.
Race For Change is a charity initiative for the construction industry, championing inclusivity and tackling water scarcity by raising vital funds for The Cycle and The Fantastic Freddie Foundation. π©΅
Cheered on by his fellow NineTeam teammates as he crossed the finish line, Theo proved there is nothing he can't do!

π¨ BIG NEWS - New Strategic partner UNLOCKED! ππ
We are absolutely thrilled to share that on 8th April, Nineteen APAC proudly signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the Emergency Medical Services Physicians, College of Emergency Physicians!
And it's something to SHOUT about!
The 8th edition of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Asia will be co-located with the brand-new Emergency Services Show Asia (ESSA), part of the acclaimed Safety & Security Asia!
After many long (and very fruitful!) conversations, we're beyond excited to bring this vision to life. Together, these two powerhouse events will bring together more than 1,500 delegates, creating one incredible, integrated platform, uniting EMS, fire and rescue, disaster response, public safety, and communications all under one roof!
Incredible work, Team Singapore!
But... WATCH THIS SPACE! π The best is yet to come!
Accelerating Speaker Recruitment in April ποΈπ¨β¨
The team over in the Sales and Marketing department has seriously put the pedal to the metal, shifting into fifth gear, and driving a winning recruitment strategy that had us waving the checkered flag! π
This ingenious initiative has elevated the value proposition for potential exhibitors by offering coveted speaking slots at panel sessions and valuable airtime on the Emergency Services Show Asia's InnoTech Stage. π
A brilliant opportunity for exhibitors to shine in the spotlight and get their message in front of a wider, engaged audience! π
By creating these exclusive, time-limited benefits, the initiative gives exhibitors every reason to confirm their stand early and get the most out of their participation.
The proof is in the numbers: 14 exhibitors have already come on board, and the excitement is just getting started! π
Happy 2nd Birthday to Team Singapore π
Celebrations are in order for Team Singapore as they turned 2 in April! π₯³
It has been an incredible journey so far! Starting from humble beginnings with a smaller team and an even smaller workspace, the team has blossomed, welcoming new faces and becoming an incredible, tight-knit (and UNSTOPPABLE) workforce! πͺ
And of course, they celebrated in style. Well... would you expect anything less from Ping Ping and her chic crew?!
We're talking Chagee tea π§ and an indulgent chocolate cake π°. Save us a slice!
It's been a FANTASTIC two years for Team Singapore, but trust us when we say... the BEST IS YET TO COME! πβ¨
Check out the video below for a peek into Team Singapore's journey from Day 1 to now! π¬
You probably all know the lyrics to the familiar song playing, so don't be afraid to sing along!
Team Singapore Brings Some Sunshine to the UK πβ¨
Watch out Wimbledon, the Singapore office has landed!
Some of our favourite faces from the APAC Office have touched down at HQ ahead of this week's Safety and Security Show, where they're set up and spreading the word about The Safety and Security Event Asia, coming to Marina Bay Sands in November. Consider yourselves warned.
They've been busy ticking off the full UK experience, catching up with fellow Nineteeners, getting the grand tour of Wimbledon HQ, and presumably questioning why we think this weather is acceptable. But the real news? Team Singapore have brought the sunshine with them.
Keys are Clinking, and Wedding Bells are Ringing (soon..?) for Nat! π‘ππ
In Singapore, securing a public housing flat is no small feat. With demand running at 3.4 times supply and over 31,000 applications competing for just 9,100 units, the odds are tough!
That's why we're over the moon for Nat and her partner, who on the evening of 24th March, received the incredible news that their housing application came through!
After navigating the government's lottery-based scheme, they're now on their way to owning their first home together. And rumour has it... wedding bells may not be far behind! ππ
Shall we start looking for a new hat?! π
April Baby in Full Bloom π·β¨
Celebrating our April baby, Ariel, in the best way possible! π₯³π
With a delicious cake and a couple (?) bottles of wine! π·
Just like spring itself, Ariel has a way of bringing colour, warmth, and life to everything around her. Often found in floral prints and known to be quite green-thumbed, Ariel always shows plenty of love and care to her thriving flora, as well as to her fellow Nineteeners! π©΅
Happy Birthday, Ariel! We're raising a glass to you in celebration of your special day! π₯
PA@TheCity April
PA@TheCity returned in April 2026 with a fantastic evening in London, bringing a real sense of energy as members and non-members of The Payments Association came together to connect, share ideas, and explore new opportunities. The team was actively engaged throughout, spending time with members and helping to keep conversations flowing across the room.
A highlight of the evening was a fireside chat with Charlotte Crosswell, discussing the PAY360 Awards and the future of payments innovation, offering valuable insights for attendees.
With professionals from fintechs, banks, and solution providers in the room, the event reinforced PA@TheCity as a strong platform for bringing the payments community together.
TP-Away Day!
The team came together in London for a brilliant Away Day, packed with energy, great conversations, and some well-earned downtime. The day kicked off at the Park Hyatt London River Thames, where Tony and Emma delivered engaging presentations alongside the SLT, sharing priorities and ambitions for the year ahead in an open, collaborative way that really landed with the team.
After a gorgeous team lunch, everyone headed to Bridge Command for a fun, sci-fi themed challenge that put teamwork and communication to the test.
The day wrapped up with sunset drinks by the river, giving everyone the chance to unwind, connect, and strengthen relationships across the team.
James has got some SERIOUS SOLE! π β¨
Earlier this month, James Hurren, Data Journalist, took part in a 24-hour relay run in support of Pad Up, helping to raise over £5,000, more than double their original fundraising target. Across four teams, participants ran continuously, covering an impressive 930km, the equivalent of travelling from London to Berlin.
James contributed a remarkable 45km during his four-hour stint, an effort he admits he is still feeling! The funds raised will support Pad Upβs vital work tackling period poverty in Kenya, providing essential products, education, and support to help keep girls in school and improve long term health outcomes.
Mark your calendars, because the HOTTEST event of the year is coming up! βοΈπ¦

Easter Bunny Brings Treats for the Team!
At the start of April, we had an EGG-stra special visitor at Nineteen HQ... none other than the Easter Bunny! π£
Armed with a wicker basket full of chocolatey goodness, our favourite festive friend had the Nineteeners hopping with joy just ahead of the long Easter weekend.
We hope everyone who celebrates had a truly CRACKING Easter, and that a little Spring magic helped fuel you going into a busy show season!
Now, show of hands... who still has some Easter chocolate left? π«
Time to Tame the Mane for Charity! π¦βοΈ
Many of you will know that Ollie Kaye has been on quite the hair journey.
Three years of growth, resulting in the kind of luscious chestnut locks that have become his trademark.
But all good things must come to an end, and on 15th May, Ollie will be taking the plunge and chopping it all off for charity.
His hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust, which creates wigs for children and young people who have lost their own hair, a truly wonderful cause.
And in true Ollie fashion, he's not stopping there. He's also raising money for Movember, a cause close to his heart that many of you will remember him championing with his legendary daily 5k runs in November each year.
Two incredible causes, one epic haircut. Let's show Ollie the support he deserves and donate here.
Talk about some serious MANE character energy!
Huge Congrats to Eliza: He Liked It and He Put a Ring On It!
Please join us in sending the BIGGEST congratulations to Eliza and James, who are officially engaged to be married! π
Let us set the scene... During a recent trip home to Australia, the two took a stroll along their favourite Melbourne beach! That's when James got down on one knee and asked Eliza to be his wife. Safe to say, this particular Good Friday became a GREAT Friday! π
We are absolutely thrilled for you both. Congratulations, Eliza and James!
