A Message from Leadership

The past year has flown by. Three international launches. Our Boston HQ opening. Eight brilliant acquisitions. And 25% organic growth.

None of it happens without our people.

Thank you to every Nineteener!

As we kick off 2026, Ruth and Nick’s whistle-stop Asia tour has been a real highlight.

Spending meaningful time with our Hong Kong and Singapore teams, gathering valuable feedback, and making real progress on strengthening our global culture, while respecting local nuance.

It’s an incredibly exciting time for Nineteen. Our ambition to become the world’s leading trade show organiser and media business may sound bold, but it’s absolutely achievable!

And we’ll get there together.

Americas Office - Header

Building the Platform for the U.S. 🏗️🌎✨

This year wasn’t just about growth. It was about putting the right structure in place to support it. Across people and culture, finance, operations, and the launch of Smart Manufacturing Week in the U.S., the Americas team has been intentionally built to support scale from day one. 💪

What began with just Mary joining in February of 2025, Nineteen Group Americas is now 50 (!!!) employees strong, a combination of newly hired roles and teams that joined the business through the acquisitions of ReliabilityWeb, SubSummit, and The Lead. 🤯

The Lead 3
SubSummit 3
SubSummit 4

To support this momentum, Nineteen Americas is already moving into a larger physical office, while remaining headquartered in Boston. The business is growing quickly, and the infrastructure is evolving right alongside it.

As we head into the new year, integration will be a key priority.

Bringing teams together, aligning ways of working, and maintaining a strong, shared Nineteen culture will be critical as the Americas platform continues to take shape.

Smart Manufacturing Week U.S.: Turning Vision into Action

Work is well underway on the launch of Smart Manufacturing Week in the U.S. (eyes are on Detroit in April 2027!), with early-stage commercial activity beginning to take shape. A charter campaign is now launching to customers who already participate in Smart Manufacturing Week in the UK, giving them an exclusive opportunity to be part of the U.S. debut ahead of broader launch announcements.

Smart Manufacturing Week USA

Close coordination between the US and UK Smart Manufacturing Week teams is essential, with working sessions this week focused on alignment across strategy, positioning, programming, and execution. That collaboration will be one of the defining factors in the show’s long-term success.

Strengthening the A(mericas) Team

As the Americas business scales, these roles add depth across leadership, culture, commercial execution, and the launch of Smart Manufacturing Week in the U.S. Each brings critical experience as the platform continues to take shape.

Hong Kong XMAS Visit!

Before the Christmas break, a few members of the Hong Kong team had an incredible time visiting our UK office in Wimbledon.

It was a fantastic opportunity to meet so many familiar faces in person. If anything, they wished they could’ve stayed an extra week! The teams worked closely together, sharing experiences and knowledge across offices.

What stood out most was how similar the culture in Hong Kong is to Wimbledon, with the same openness and energy, even though the HK office has evolved in its own unique, organic way.

  • Michael Wong Presenting
  • Team Site Visit 1

The trip also gave the HK team their first taste of the infamous Xchanges, where Michael, our General Manager, took to the stage to share how his experiences and background have shaped the direction of the Hong Kong office. After a refreshing Christmas break, the team is back, recharged, and the office is buzzing once again!

Mike Costain Hong Kong

Wimbledon HQ Calling! 📞

It’s been a lively start to the new year with Mike visiting from the UK, followed by Ruth and Nick the following week.

The Hong Kong team has had a packed schedule during their visits, from team dim sum lunches to showing them around the city.

We even gave Mike a memorable send-off with a hike (less hike, more drive followed by a five minute walk...) around the iconic Peak, followed by dinner overlooking the skyline.

Ruth and Nick have really sparked meaningful conversations about how we can strengthen the Nineteen culture here in Hong Kong and build closer connections with the Wimbledon office.

They’ve brought fresh perspectives and encouraged open dialogue, helping us reflect on how we work and think as a team.

It’s been fantastic having them here. Their visit has been invaluable in making the Hong Kong team feel even more connected to the wider Nineteen community.

Though the two days with Ruth and Nick were over in a flash, we have plenty of action points and ideas to keep us busy until their next visit!

Moreover, Meera, co-founder of Grow This Event, visited our Hong Kong office to introduce Ezna, an app developed by her team. She explained how the platform functions as a digital “concierge,” helping large events efficiently direct attendees to exhibitors and key areas. The team found her
presentation extremely insightful and gained valuable takeaways from the discussion. We look forward to integrating Ezna into future Nineteen events!

Spending their KADI winnings the right way!

Fresh off their December KADI win, Team Singapore had one question: how to celebrate?

The answer? Hot pot. Obviously!

Because what tastes better than success? HOT POT, of course!

They even brought along Pranav and Megan Yen, former interns who've clearly earned permanent hot pot privileges.

It was a great occasion to reflect on all the successes and team wins from 2025 and look towards the future as another year of shows fast approaches!

But the real highlight? Quality bonding time with the UK sales team (plus Cindy!).

Productive? Check. Energising? Absolutely. Memorable? Without a doubt!

Wimbledon HQ Calling: Part 2! 📞

Fresh off their Hong Kong adventure, Ruth and Nick made their way to Singapore to hang with Ping Ping and the dream team!

Two days. Multiple workshops. Endless ideas.

Singapore Team Nick & Ruth

The mission? Talk all things comms and culture, figure out what's working (and what's... not), and generally make everyone feel more connected to Wimbledon HQ.

But it wasn't all serious business. Between the pulse checks and strategy sessions, there was yoga, hot pot, salad tossing (get your mind out of the gutter), and even a Labubu unboxing moment!

Until next time, Singapore!
