A Message from Leadership

So many highlights this month that it is impossible to mention all of them. New York Build/Installer New York kicked off show season in style and did not disappoint. It was fantastic to see the Oliver Kinross and Lyrical teams come together beautifully, and what a busy show. Payments Week also continued the theme of a packed event, filling the aisles at ExCel.

A big thank you to all the teams involved in making these events so successful. Your hard work is truly appreciated.

Personally, I will never get tired of seeing Nineteen team members win awards, and it was wonderful to see the Safety and Security and Chicago Build teams pick up EN Awards last Friday. Two highly commended entries for New York Build and Nineteen Group for Employer of the Year too.

The success of Nineteen Group is down to our great people, and I am proud to work with every one of you!

BIG NEWS! We've been SHORTLISTED!

We're over the moon to announce that Nineteen Group has been shortlisted for the Inspiring Workplaces Awards 2026 UK & Ireland!

Marketing Avengers Unite!

Earlier this month, we were pleased to kick off the first marketing academy of the year, providing our marketing experts with the opportunity to learn about the latest trends to keep our campaigns fresh and invigorating!

  • Leaders of tomorrow 1

This year's cohort spent a full day taking their first steps on the management journey, exploring what great leadership truly looks like, reflecting on the styles that have shaped them, and identifying the leaders they admire most and why.

Each person left with a personalised Management and Leadership Plan, complete with goals for the year ahead. The energy in the room was something special, and the potential in this group? Undeniable.

Back 2 Skool for Katy & Nick

On 10 March, Katy Flaherty and Nick Lavin headed back to school, paying a visit to event management students at London Metropolitan University! 🎓

On a mission to spread the word of Nineteen and inspire the next generation of event professionals, Katy and Nick gave the students the full lowdown on who we are, where we come from, and the all-important question... what is life really like at Nineteen?

  • Katy and Nick LMU Visit
  • Katy & Nick LMU 3

As a fellow alumna herself, Katy also shared her post-grad journey and how her time at LMU helped shape the career she has today.
Spoiler alert: She's absolutely SMASHING it!

Then came the questions. Hands shot up, and the students did not hold back! From career opportunities at Nineteen, to nailing their first interview, to what makes working in events so special, the conversation flowed and the energy in the room was brilliant.

It was a fantastic experience to get in front of the future of the events industry, and we hope this is just the beginning of a wonderful partnership with London Met. Watch this space! 💙

Set against the stunning backdrop of Kiawah Island, South Carolina, Mary was first to take to the stage, sharing some home truths on leadership and executive presence.

Alison followed with expert insights on B2B event budgets and a revenue model that every organiser can make their own. And Peter brought the curtain down in style, covering strategic acquisitions, post-deal integration, and why culture can make or break everything. 🚀

Marching Forward Across Nineteen Americas

March has been a high-energy month for Nineteen Americas, marked by strong industry engagement, meaningful in-person collaboration, and continued growth across the business.

Say hello to our new Boston home! 👋

From humble beginnings with a team of one to more than FIFTY Nineteeners Stateside, we have quickly outgrown our first location and needed somewhere bigger to stretch our legs!

That's why we are thrilled to announce that Team Nineteen Americas has officially set up shop at Industrious in Copley, Boston, and we could not be more excited about this new chapter!

To mark the occasion, Industrious in Copley surprised Nineteen Americas with a little gift to celebrate the milestone. Here's to new beginnings, new neighbours, and plenty of great things ahead for Nineteen Americas in the region. 🚀

New Office

Shoptalk: Momentum on the Ground

At Shoptalk, both The Lead Summit and SubSummit teams were onsite connecting directly with customers, strengthening relationships, and closing new deals.

The energy on the ground reflected the strength of our brands and the growing demand for meaningful, high-impact industry experiences.

The Lead Summit

TLS Team Onsite Meeting in NYC

In mid-March, the team gathered in person at The Lead’s New York office for a dedicated The Lead Summit meeting!

Led by Justin Childs, the team got together to dig into all things TLS: marketing, content, strategy, and everything in between.

In-person meetings just hit different, and this one was no exception. The energy? Infectious. The ideas? Flowing? And the team spirit? Alive and kicking!

TLS is growing, the partnership is going from strength to strength, and this was exactly the kind of meeting that reminds us why we do what we do!

SubSummit 2026: Industry Roundtables Launch

The 2026 SubSummit Industry Roundtable topics have officially dropped, and things are heating up!

Since their debut in 2024, these roundtables have become one of the most talked-about parts of the event, driving deeper, more candid conversations between operators while creating meaningful opportunities for partners.

Excitement is BUILDING for Sydney Build!

With less than five weeks to go, excitement is in full swing!

The production, sales, and marketing teams have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this year’s event our biggest yet!

Our Start-Up Zone has been a huge success: we sold out twice and have now expanded the space to welcome 25 innovative start-ups!

But WAIT! It gets even better! Sydney Build Expo 2026 has just received the ultimate stamp of approval, straight from NSW Premier Chris Minns himself! 🙌🏗️

"We've got a fantastic construction industry in the state, and I know this Expo is only going to take it to the next level."

When the Premier of NSW is hyping you up, you KNOW it's going to be something special. 🥳

Earlier this month, Tristan made a two-day stop in Hong Kong en route to Singapore over Chinese New Year, and the team made the most of every minute.

Sharing his hands-on expertise ahead of the Security Event, Tristan provided the team with crucial insight, accelerating their preparation and sharpening their approach ahead of Sydney Build!

It also meant that no question went unanswered, allowing the team to tap into Tristan's wealth of knowledge,  providing concrete ideas and direction ahead of next month's event!

Of course, the team also gave Tristan a proper Hong Kong welcome, ringing in the New Year with a dragon dance and dim sum! Because we work hard and play hard!

Team Hong Kong is GROWING!

We're pleased to announce that we have TWO brand new faces to add to our incredible team line-up!
Give a HUGE Nineteen welcome to Christian and James!

Christian Aird

Commercial Manager
Christian has just joined Nineteen Group as a Commercial Manager, leading business development and key account management across the Sydney and Melbourne Build events. Originally from the UK and now based in Melbourne, Christian brings over 20 years of experience in the exhibition industry, having worked in the UK for UBM and MEMS International before relocating to Australia. There he led the events and exhibitions sales team at IVE Group before moving to Fusion, a retail marketing agency, continuing his focus on driving commercial growth.

James Dingley

Business Development Executive
James Dingley has recently started with us after Chinese New Year as a Business Development Executive on Sydney Build Expo. Originally from London, UK, James grew up in Hong Kong and after graduating from university in England, moved back to work across Asia's sports, E-sports, and technology industry. Before joining Nineteen, he was involved in organising HYROX events across Hong Kong & Singapore!

While back home in Melbourne, Eliza Pearce took the opportunity to give Christian the OFFICIAL Nineteen welcome! 🎉

Over a coffee from Melbourne's famous café scene, Eliza hand-delivered Christian his very own Nineteen welcome pack! Apparently, she moonlights as a courier in her spare time! 😄📦

Now that's what we call going above and beyond for a fellow Nineteener! Welcome to the team, Christian! 🙌🌟

TPA Knock PAY360 and MT360 Out The Park!

Two days. Two events. One absolute belter of a show. 🎉 PAY360 & MT360 has officially wrapped, and what a whirlwind it was!

As organisers, this is always a major moment in the calendar, and this year was no exception. ExCeL London was packed with wall-to-wall energy, back-to-back networking, and the full force of the payments ecosystem under one roof. Fintechs, banks, regulators, and technology providers all came together to share ideas, tackle key challenges, and explore the innovations shaping the future of payments.

If we had to sum it up in one word? GROWTH. 🪴✨

We're talking... ✅ More expert speakers dropping serious knowledge ✅ More exhibitors showcasing the latest and greatest from the industry ✅ More visitors eager to connect, collaborate, and push the industry forward

PAY360 has always been about giving the payments community a platform, and this year, that platform felt bigger and louder than ever. The agenda was packed, the panel discussions sparked real conversation, and the networking? Non-stop

A massive shoutout to the team who made this event the success it was. 🙌 You're what makes PAY360 and Merchant Transc 360 the UK's leading gatherings for the payments community, year after year.

Parting words? 2027, we're coming back even BIGGER. 💪

Putting the TPA in PARTY!

Company socials are back, and we're kicking things off in style! 🎉 Hot on the heels of the March Townhall, we're bringing you a pub quiz and karaoke night, because nothing bonds a team quite like friendly rivalry and questionable singing.

It's your chance to escape the inbox, let loose, and actually get to know the people you share a building (and a Teams call) with. Whether you're bringing your A-game to the quiz or bravely grabbing the mic later in the evening, one thing's certain: these socials are a chance to forge friendships and bring us all that little bit closer together!

Keep your eyes peeled as there will be LOTS to come in the calendar over the year!

Welcome Some New Faces to the Team!

We were delighted to welcome two new colleagues to the team on 2 March: Deelan Cuneapen and Paul Campbell, who have both joined the sponsorship side of the sales team.

They bring valuable experience and fresh perspectives that will support the continued growth of the business. As the company expands its capabilities and client relationships, strengthening the team remains a key priority. Deelan and Paul have already begun settling in and meeting colleagues across the organisation, and we’re excited to see the impact they will make as part of the team.

At Nineteen, we believe in building a culture where every voice matters and every woman is set up to thrive. That's not just an aspiration; it's something we work toward every day.

DING DING! 🛎️ Jade Delivers a KO Performance for Charity!

A HUGE congratulations to Jade O'Donovan from all of us at Nineteen for her recent charity boxing match!

A marketing exec by day, Jade has been secretly moonlighting as Rocky Balboa's body double, training hard, sparring, and perfecting her duck and weave. All in the name of two incredible causes:

  • Jade Boxing Match 1
  • Jade Boxing Match 2
  • Jade Boxing Match 3

Nineteen were proud sponsors, and we showed up in force to cheer her on. Jade fought brilliantly, and while the result didn't go her way, the real victory belongs to the charities. She raised an incredible £1,000 through her efforts.
