A Message from Leadership
June has been a month of wins.
Smart Manufacturing Week looked and felt exceptional. InstallerSHOW followed with a record 88% rebook, an outstanding result at that scale.
Another highlight was seeing Alison recognised for her outstanding contribution to our industry. Add Best Trade Show for Retail Technology Show and the heavyweight title for Safety & Security Series, and it's been a month to remember.
I also had the pleasure of visiting our brilliant Hong Kong team before a 36-hour dash to Sydney to meet two outstanding acquisition opportunities.
Personally, our evolving leadership has allowed me to step back from the day-to-day and focus on what's next on the horizon for Nineteen. And with Adam and newly appointed Amy helping to keep the M&A pipeline full, there are great things to come in the future. Watch this space.
Peter Jones
Group CEO, Nineteen
AE-Oh So Good!
13 nominations across 7 categories. THREE gongs. Not a bad night for Nineteen! 🏆✨
Massive congratulations to every single finalist across all 13 nominations. Being shortlisted at the AEO Excellence Awards is an achievement in itself, and seeing so much Nineteen representation across the board? Incredible. 👏
An EXTRA special shoutout to our winners:
🥇 Outstanding Contribution to the Industry - Alison Jackson
🥇 Best UK Tradeshow 4,001–8,000 SQM - Matt Bradley & Team Retail Technology Show
🥇 Best UK Tradeshow More than 8,000 SQM - Tristan Norman, Peter Poole, David Bishop & the entire Safety & Security Event Series crew
Thank goodness for the bigger HQ. The extra shelf space is DEFINITELY going to come in handy with all these trophies we keep winning! 🩵🙌
All in all, it was a fantastic evening to get glammed up and join friends, partners, and colleagues from across the sector and beyond to celebrate the amazing industry that we all love to work in!
From her early days at Montgomery to CEO of Nineteen Group, Alison has been a fearless, people-first leader every step of the way. Commercially brave. Fiercely loyal. Always the first to champion and support the people around her.
Her passion, energy, and expert knowledge have shaped careers, inspired teams, and left a lasting mark on the events industry. A true icon.
Outstanding in every sense of the word. Congratulations, Alison! 👏
Snatching Silver at the Conference & Events Awards!
And the good times just keep on rolling! Team The Manufacturer snatches silver at this year's Conference & Events Awards! 🏆
Going FULL GLAM, the team headed to Evolution London, Battersea Park for an afternoon of glitz, glamour, and celebrations. Walking away with the Best Event of the Year (up to 1,000 attendees) Award for the Manufacturing Leaders' Summit.
Massive congrats to everyone who made it happen. You couldn't manufacture a better way to end June on a high! 🥂✨
Smart Manufacturing Week 2026: The factory floor came to The NEC. 🏭⚡
13,405 attendees. 437 exhibitors. 163 speakers. Smart Manufacturing Week delivered its most interactive, engaging, and connected edition yet at The NEC Birmingham. So much so that we drew in visitors and exhibitors away from co-located shows! People know a good thing when they see it!
81% of attendees had buying power or influence, with 58% carrying active buying requirements, making this one of the most commercially potent audiences in the event's history.
871 one-to-one meetings were requested through the event app alone, with 5,047 total activations across the platform.
And the conversations? They spoke for themselves.
"This year's event was a powerful reflection of that purpose in action, with a vibrant show floor full of meaningful conversations, new connections, and fresh ideas." Grace Gilling, Managing Director of Hennik Research.
The Manufacturing Digitalisation Summit just wrapped its strongest edition on record, and the numbers speak for themselves.
410 pre-registrations (up 5% YOY). 142 attending companies, including Airbus, BMW, Dyson, Ford, Mitsubishi, and more. Nearly half of those companies turn over £1bn+, making this the highest concentration of major-league manufacturers in the event's history.
232 manufacturing delegates. 21 speakers. 17 discussion topics. And 79% of attendees rated the keynote sessions as extremely relevant to their work.
We also hosted three The Manufacturer Directors' Forum dinners during SMW, sponsored by Oracle, Veolia, and Tanium. 31 senior leaders across the three evenings, each guest list precision-matched to our clients' target audiences.
InstallerSHOW Brings the Heat (and Water, Air, and Energy!) to The NEC!
The UK isn't the only thing that was scorching last week!
InstallerSHOW 2026 has wrapped, and the heat inside The NEC gave the 37-degree temperatures outside a serious run for their money. 38,523 attendees across three record-breaking days. That's a 20% year-on-year increase, and much like the weather, we're not sure we've ever seen anything quite like it.
With 900+ exhibitors, 10 content stages, 389 speakers, and 100+ sessions, the place was on fire (figuratively).
For the first time ever, InstallerSHOW co-located with the Painting & Decorating Show and Professional Woodworking Expo, bringing the entire installer ecosystem together under one NEC roof.
From the very first nail to the final fixture, the show had it all.
The World Plumbing Conference landed on UK soil for the first time in 23 years, welcoming 660+ delegates from 16 countries. WorldSkills brought global talent. And brand-new activations like Super Trowel and the Great British Slate Off? Instant crowd favourites.
And the rebook numbers? Sizzling. 88% of InstallerSHOW exhibitors are already back in to do it all again in 2027!
So bring on another SCORCHING show in 2027!
Painting & Decorating Show
4,500+ visitors. 85 exhibitors. Nearly 3,000 crossover visitors from InstallerSHOW and Professional Woodworking. Painting & Decorating Show also launched its first-ever ambassador programme and Skills Hub this year.
The result? A phenomenal 141% rebook.
Prettier than a picture, if you ask me!
Close to 4,000 attendees, 96 exhibitors, two new feature launches (Carpentry Skills Hub and Windows Manufacturing Demo), and 1,100+ crossover visitors. A lively turnout and a clear sign that the sector was ready to get stuck in and make something happen
Early rebooking activity shows strong engagement, with plenty of scope to sand things down, tighten the joint, and build on the foundations in year two as the event settles and grows.
A first cut that’s already coming together nicely, with plenty more to craft.
Team ICE & ISE at the House of Lords
Team ICE and ISE hosted the 2026 International Security Expo & International Cyber Expo Networking Reception at the House of Lords, bringing together nearly 100 security professionals, industry experts, and government representatives for an afternoon of real conversations and powerful connections.
With this year's shows fast approaching, the event was the perfect way to warm up conversations ahead of International Cyber Expo and International Security Expo 2026.
Figen Murray OBE, Chair of ISE, spoke passionately about the power of collaboration in tackling today's security challenges. The Rt Hon Lord Hanson of Flint offered a compelling government perspective on the sector's importance. And our Group Managing Director, Tristan Norman, shared a few words on behalf of Nineteen Group.
It truly was an afternoon of reflection and determination, filled with conversations that move the industry forward.
Celebrating the Heroism at the British Security Awards
Team Safety & Security celebrated the very best the UK security industry has to offer at the British Security Awards 2026. As headline sponsor, Nineteen was proud to recognise the outstanding achievements, acts of bravery, and innovations shaping the sector.
From boundary-pushing innovation to leadership that keeps raising the bar, the room was packed with people who make this industry something to be genuinely proud of.
The talent on show? Truly next level. 💪
Every nominee, every winner, every category lit up the stage and pointed the way to the future of the industry. Hearing their stories reminded us exactly why we're in the business we're in. 🏆
Huge thanks to the BSIA for bringing the community together and shining a well-deserved spotlight on the people who keep the UK safe. 🙌
Stamp Out Spiking Becomes Official Nineteen Charity!
Big news. Nineteen has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Stamp Out Spiking (SOS), committing to raising awareness of drink spiking and becoming a recognised charity partner for the initiative. 🤝
Alison Jackson represented Nineteen at the signing, joined by SOS CEO Dawn Dines, where she also presented a donation to their £1 Challenge Initiative, contributing £1 per Nineteen employee toward the campaign.
Drink spiking affects thousands of people every year, and we're committed to using our global events portfolio to drive awareness, education, and real change.
Proud to be SOS's first official sponsor. As Nineteen Group's official charity partner, this is just the beginning of a powerful partnership that will bring about BIG change. 💙
Finding Wind in Our Sales! 🌊⛵️
Team FSE and London Build traded the office for the open water at the ASFP Friendly Regatta, Port Hamble Marina.
After a crash course from a skipper (steering a boat? Harder than it looks 😅), the team took on the high seas, a competitive scavenger hunt, and the full British summer experience.
They may not have swept the podium, but they DID claim the unofficial title of worst tan lines on the water. 🦞🔥
But it wasn't just laughs and questionable sunburn. The regatta brought together brilliant representatives from across the fire and safety world, giving the team the chance to reconnect with long-standing partners and open doors with some exciting new ones.
New faces, new conversations, new opportunities. Safe to say the team has a fresh gust of wind in their sales/sails! 😉
Xchange Goes Stateside!
Big things are happening on the other side of the Atlantic. June marked a genuine milestone: bringing together our three teams across The Lead, ReliabilityWeb, and SubSummit at our very first Americas Xchange!
It was the perfect opportunity to get the entire Team Nineteen Americas in a (virtual) room together, reflect on three INCREDIBLE shows, and share what's next as Nineteen Americas continues to grow at pace.
And never one to miss an Xchange! The meeting also came complete with a surprise cameo from Peter Jones via video message! Recorded live from the PACKED InstallerSHOW showfloor, Peter offered our Nineteeners across the pond a welcome warmer than the weather outside, sharing plenty of excitement about what's coming on the horizon!
Mary, Justin, and Melissa Visit Wimbledon HQ!
Mary, Justin and Melissa made the trip to London to update the Board on how Nineteen Americas is progressing.
We were able to tour the new global HQ, view the Wimbledon tennis preparations and be a part of the celebrations for the AEO Awards where Alison was recognized for her contributions to the industry!
Above all, the visit was the perfect reminder to look back on the journey of Nineteen Americas so far, appreciate how far we have come (seriously, from a team of 1 to 50+ overnight!), and was a great reminder as to why establishing Nineteen US was the right move.
A Huge Welcome to Morgan Roux!
Join us in offering a MASSIVE Nineteen welcome to Morgan Roux, who joins the Boston office as our brand new Marketing Executive on ReliabilityWeb from 1st July!
From social media and branding to event management and strategy, she brings a brilliant blend of skills and a genuine passion for connecting people to brands in meaningful ways.
Welcome to the team, Morgan! 🎉
June also sees Pride celebrations and Juneteenth! Teams have been taking part in Pride activities across the country.
Standing in Solidarity with Juneteenth
Juneteenth commemorates 19th June 1865, when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally received the news that they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been issued.
It marked the effective end of slavery in the United States and remains one of the most significant moments in American history.
Recognized as a federal holiday since 2021, Juneteenth is a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate. To honour the resilience, contributions, and experiences of Black Americans, and to recommit to the ongoing pursuit of equality and opportunity for everyone.
At Nineteen, we stand in solidarity with that message. Today and always.
We are in the official summer season so wishing everyone a great July 4th weekend and happy summer - for those in the cooler climate of the US - it is finally here!
The Boys are Back in Town!
June was a big month for the Hong Kong office, with not one but two visits from Nineteen's senior leadership team. First up, Group CEO Peter Jones stopped by during a two-day layover en route to Australia!
Never one to waste a moment, Peter took the opportunity to deliver a mini Nineteen Xchange presentation to the team, sharing his vision for the future of Nineteen and the latest news from across the group.
Oh, and the team made sure to take him out for dim sum while they had him. No trip to Hong Kong is complete without a spot of dim sum, am I rite?
Next up and hot on Peter's heels, Group Managing Director Mike Costain spent three days with the Hong Kong team.
Despite InstallerSHOW coming up fast, it was a great opportunity for each team member to catch up one-on-one with Mike, connect, share updates, and discuss what's next.
Thanks for visiting us, folks! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Team HK is Bringing the Fire (and Security) to Melbourne Build!
Five months.
That's all that stands between Melbourne Build and Team Hong Kong.
Preparations are in full swing, but what makes this milestone even more exciting is what's launching alongside it.
For the first time, Melbourne Build will be joined by the Fire Safety Event Australia and The Security Event Australia.
These events mark two brand new additions to the Nineteen portfolio that the team has thrown themselves into with real enthusiasm. Learning a new industry from scratch while delivering a major event? No problem. The team has embraced the challenge head-on, and the energy behind the scenes is electric.
Brace yourself, Melbourne. Team Hong Kong is turning up the heat! 🔥
Congrats All Round to Michelle and James!
Join us in sharing a huge congratulations to Michelle Chun, Business Development Manager, and James Dingley, Business Development Executive, who have recently passed their probation!
Since joining #TeamNineteen, Michelle and James haven't shied away from a challenge, settling in like ducks to water and leaving us all wondering... what did we do without them!?
A massive well done to you both and we can't wait to see what future success you bring to the team and the wider Nineteen Group portfolio! 🎉
Bringing A Little Extra Seoul to New York, Chicago, and Miami Build!
Big news from Team Oliver Kinross!
We've signed an agreement with David S.H. Lee and GBE (Global Business Exhibitions and Markets) to represent South Korean organisations at not one, not two, but THREE of our flagship US shows: New York Build Expo, Chicago Build Expo, and Miami Build Expo.
This is a seriously exciting partnership that opens up a whole new pipeline of exhibitors and participants from one of the world's most dynamic construction and infrastructure markets.
Great work, Team!
Getting the Stamp of Approval from the Windy City!
Get wind of this!
Chicago Build just got the official stamp of approval from Brandon Johnson, Mayor of Chicago! We already knew we were building something pretty incredible, but it's always a good feeling to get the official endorsement of the ENTIRE CITY.
With more than 30,000 visitors, 450+ exhibitors, and 350+ speakers from across the construction industry expected to walk through its doors, it's safe to say the team is building something BIG!
And if it's good enough for the Mayor of Chicago, it's good enough for us!
From Budapest to Birmingham, NineTEAM Race for Change!
Team NineTEAM took on Race for Change and absolutely delivered. Theo, Felix, and Siobhan started in Budapest with no flights, no phones, no idea, with nothing but a limited budget, a GoPro, and a prayer; they managed to navigate their way back to the UK entirely on grit, teamwork, and good vibes.
The finish line? The Bristan stand at InstallerSHOW 2026.
Racing for a cause close to their hearts, the team used the challenge to shine a light on water scarcity while raising funds for brilliant charities along the way.
And the result? A well-earned third-place finish. 🥉
Want to support their HEROIC efforts? DONATE HERE.
Taking the Singapore Show on the Road in Ho Chi Minh!
Ariel and Natalie just wrapped up a whirlwind roadshow in Ho Chi Minh City, and the results speak for themselves.
The centrepiece was an Industry Dialogue and Networking Reception at Novotel Saigon Centre, built around the theme of "Building Vietnam’s Smart Future: Safety, Security, AV & Intelligent Infrastructure".
With plenty of guests in attendance, we had a real mix of visitors! Everyone from C-suite heavyweights to digital transformation leads across hospitality, AI, real estate, construction, security, smart infrastructure, and beyond.
The room was buzzing, the dialogue was flowing, and one prospect flew in from overseas just to attend. That's the kind of pull we're building. 💪
Six business meetings. 30 new company contacts from Vietnam ICTComm 2026. Two new supporting organisations secured, including an LOI signed with AI & Data Centre Vietnam. And a confirmed Industry Ambassador for PIFA.
But the biggest win? A confirmed Sales Partner to form a buyers' delegation AND Vietnam Pavilion at S&S Asia 2026, TSE and FSE Australia 2026, and SSE 2027. We're talking at least 10 exhibiting companies at each of the three shows!
What started as a visprom trip uncovered promising new trading opportunities!
Well done, Team! You smashed it!
Building Bridges Across APAC!
Ping and Val were honoured to attend the birthday celebration of Jason Kurek, President of SSAS and Founding Partner of TSEA. This invitation spoke volumes about the strength of our partnership, which extends beyond commercial collaboration to one of mutual trust and confidence.
And the partnership pipeline? Looking very healthy. IRIOSH joins as a Supporting Partner, and four new three-year agreements have been signed this month: Singapore AI Association, ALIFE, EMA, and Global Signage Alliance.
Four partnerships. One month. Singapore isn't slowing down anytime soon.
Peter Poole Visits Singapore!
The team welcomed Peter Poole, who conducted a series of strategic alignment workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions with Ping Ping, the Sales team, and the Marketing team.
The sessions covered how to identify and engage new prospects, handle customer objections with confidence, and explore different outreach techniques to boost engagement.
The key takeaway: Diversify your lead pool, reassess existing contacts, and keep broadening the pipeline.
Huge Welcome to Nineteen Singapore, Juulia
Two weeks in and Juulia Kousa is already closing deals.
As our new Assistant Sales Manager, Juulia has wasted absolutely no time in securing a contract for TSE Asia before she'd barely had time to find the coffee machine.
You're off to a flying start!
Welcome to the team, Juulia! 🎉
Taste the Rainbow! 🌈
The team marked Pride Month in the most delicious way possible.
Everyone drew lots, each colour representing one of the seven shades of the rainbow, and the result was a full-spectrum feast to match. A vibrant spread, a brilliant team, and a very happy Friday.
Definitely beats a bag of Skittles, that's for sure.🎉
PA@TheCity Is Back (and Better Than Ever)
The sunshine is back and so is PA@TheCity, one of the industry's favourite networking events! Set against the backdrop of the London City skyline, PA@TheCity returned for a special summer edition, kindly sponsored and hosted by Howden at their London offices, and it did not disappoint.
With a fantastic turnout, members, partners, and industry pros came in their droves, ready for an evening of lively conversation, fresh connections, and a few too many canapés.
Old colleagues caught up, new relationships were struck, and the payments community did what it does best: connect, collaborate, and bank plenty of new ideas!
A huge thank you to Howden for making it all possible. Same time next summer?
Welcome to the Team TPA: Rob and Mylo!
Both Rob and Mylo are joining us with a wealth of knowledge and experience in relationship management, business growth, and building strong industry connections!
And it's fair to say that both have already hit the ground running.
Since joining, Rob and Mylo have been meeting members, diving into key initiatives, and bringing fresh ideas to the table. We have a feeling these two are going to make waves in all the right ways.
Welcome to the team, lads! Wishing you all the best in your new roles!
I LIKE THAT BOULDER. THAT IS A NICE BOULDER.
Laptops down. Chalk up. At the end of May, the team traded spreadsheets for climbing walls at City Bouldering in Aldgate for an instructor-led bouldering session open to complete beginners and seasoned climbers alike.
The evening was the perfect opportunity to test our limits, strength, AND nerve.
Safe to say, the evening was a WALL-TO-WALL success, as participants cheered each other on, laughed at some unorthodox positions, and enjoyed a healthy dose of competition between colleagues!
But beyond the physical challenge, it was a brilliant reminder of what this team is made of: resilience, support, and looking out for each other when the going gets tough!
RTS Take Us To The Disco For Pride
June is Pride Month, and Nineteen went full disco! 🌈
Hot on the heels of a showstopping Retail Technology Show, Team RTS hosted our Pride party and kept the groove pumping with a Disco theme! 🕺
Soaking up the British Summer sunshine at All Bar Nineteen, our Nineteeners took Friday Drinks somewhere special, bringing the rainbows, sequins, and Pride in full force. And the best part? Welcoming our friends from The Payments Association to join in on the fun!
Disco balls? Spinning. Rainbow décor? Immaculate. Dance moves? Slightly questionable but disco nevertheless.
Inclusivity sits at the heart of our KADI values, and our Pride party was a moment to celebrate every Nineteener for exactly who they are. Individually unique and unapologetically themselves.
Happy Pride to all! 🌈✨
Game, Set, Match!
Wimbledon Fever Hits Nineteen HQ!
Wimbledon season is here, and Nineteen is serving. 🎾
Think crisp white outfits, strawberries and cream, a cooling jug of Pimms, and the occasional temper tantrum over on Centre Court. We're fully in the spirit of the season, and our HQ is getting the Wimbledon makeover to match!
The incredible Sarah (@sibdesigns) painted us an absolute treat, capturing everything that makes Wimbledon so iconic and making sure our HQ is Centre Court ready! 🍓
And honestly? Safe to say, she ACED it!
