New National Expo Set to Launch: Bus & Coach Expo to Debut at NEC Birmingham in 2026
Bus & Coach Expo 2026

A bold new chapter for the UK’s road passenger transport sector begins in April 2026 with the highly anticipated launch of Bus & Coach Expo. Taking place from 21–23 April at the NEC Birmingham, this inaugural event promises to be a catalyst for innovation, progress, and cross-industry collaboration.

Co-located with the Commercial Vehicle Show, Bus & Coach Expo will unite the entire passenger transport ecosystem -operators, manufacturers, technology suppliers, policymakers, and public sector leaders for three days of fresh thinking, transformative tech, and future-focused insight.

Launched under the banner “The Pulse of Passenger Transport”, the show arrives at a pivotal moment for the industry. As the sector navigates a rapidly changing landscape shaped by net zero targets, digital integration, and rising passenger expectations, Bus & Coach Expo offers a timely, dedicated space to explore what’s next and act on it.

Across the show floor, visitors will discover the very latest in zero-emission vehicles, smart fleet systems, cutting-edge accessibility and safety features, and next-gen depot and workshop technology. Expect live vehicle displays, product debuts, and hands-on workshops, all underpinned by expert-led content that addresses the biggest challenges and most urgent opportunities in modern mobility.

Specialist feature zones will give centre stage to the issues that matter most. The Route to Zero Zone will chart the sector’s transition to electric, hydrogen, and low-emission transport, supported by real-world case studies and insights into infrastructure and funding. The Fleet Maintenance Hub will showcase the diagnostics, tools, and tech driving operational resilience. Meanwhile, the Technology Showcase will put the spotlight on pioneering systems enhancing fleet performance, telematics, digital innovations and passenger experience. And at the Road Safety Zone, a full programme of content will focus on compliance, urban safety, and regulatory change.

Crucially, Bus & Coach Expo is co-located with the Commercial Vehicle Show, giving visitors seamless access to a second major industry event in one trip. This combined experience unlocks unparalleled opportunity to discover cross-sector solutions, meet new suppliers, and broaden your fleet strategy, all with a single badge.

Free to attend, the event will also feature seminar theatres hosting thought leaders from across fleet operations, government, sustainability, and technology. Topics  for coach operators and bus fleet owners will include fleet decarbonisation, public sector funding, data-driven delivery models, workforce development, and more.

Mark Griffin CMILT, Ambassador for Bus & Coach Expo and a respected industry voice, said: “Bus & Coach Expo is exactly what the industry needs right now - a fresh, future-focused platform that brings together every corner of the sector. From operators and OEMs to policymakers and tech innovators, this event will drive the conversations, showcase the solutions, and help shape a smarter, greener future for passenger transport.”

Nick Davison, Event Director, added: “We’re thrilled to launch Bus & Coach Expo in 2026. This is not just another industry event, it’s a strategic new platform built for the challenges and opportunities ahead. With its co-location alongside the Commercial Vehicle Show, we’re delivering two powerhouse exhibitions in one, offering attendees more value, more connection, and more reasons to attend.”

Whether you operate a national fleet, serve local communities, or provide services in education or tourism, Bus & Coach Expo 2026 offers a launchpad to smarter operations, stronger partnerships, and a cleaner, more efficient transport future.
