Nineteen News August

Welcome Message!

It’s hard to believe we are almost in September and at the start of another busy show season.Β

There has also been lots going on in recent weeks…

We have welcomed the Space-Comm team to Wimbledon HQ (moving from just next door). We are super excited with the latest addition to Nineteen as it’s a brilliant team and a fast-growing market with bags of potential. The perfect recipe for success.

I made the trip out to Boston to see our colleagues at Nineteen Americas HQ and it struck me how much the team have achieved since acquiring three businesses at the end of last year. It’s fantastic to see how far the team has come. KADI in action!

As for the Autumn shows, well done and good luck to everyone for what is shaping up to be a fantastic show season.

Nineteen Sports Day!

The sun was out, spirits were high, and our game faces were firmly on for the annual Nineteen Sports Day, a proper staple in the Nineteen summer calendar. It was the perfect way to end the week and get stuck into some sports day classics, from rounders to the egg and spoon race, tug of war to the sack race; we had it all.

Huge congrats to everyone who took home the gold (or, erm, gold coloured plastic) and to everyone who took part and got involved! As you can see from the video, we’re not competitive at all. Not in the slightest…

It was a brilliant way to soak up some British sunshine (a rare treat, so we made the most of it) and come together as Team Nineteen. Same time next year?

AI, SEO, and a Visit to LinkedIn HQ!

Maxwell Kelly, Rachel Wong, and Nathan Stovell took a trip down to LinkedIn HQ, joining MCM for a seminar on AI and SEO Visibility, plus some exclusive insights straight from the LinkedIn lot themselves, and with 1.3 billion users and GROWING, it’s safe to say they know a thing or two about visibility!

So what did we learn?
First, how to optimise LinkedIn content so it actually gets seen by AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot.
Second, and this one stings a little, personal LinkedIn profiles carry significantly more authority and reach than company pages.
Turns out Peter Jones has been right the whole time!

Best of all, LinkedIn showcased a range of best-practice PPC creative examples, and Nineteen Group events accounted for around 90% of them. Nice to see that Nineteen is top of the class when it comes to all things PPC.

A brilliant morning of networking, learning, and a well-earned pat on the back.

Top Tips for Financial Awareness Day!

Friday 14 August was Financial Awareness Day, and what better way to celebrate than by sitting down with our very own finance team for their best money hacks? πŸ˜„

Here’s a sneak peek at their top tips:

πŸ›‘οΈ Protect your credit record; it’s more valuable than you think.

πŸŽ‰ Live within your means, and treat any bonus as a bonus, not a new baseline!

πŸ“Š Break down your monthly spending: rent, bills, and everything else.

🏦 Big purchase coming up? Pop those savings into a high-interest account and let them work for you.

🚨 Build an emergency fund worth six months of expenses. Future you will thank you.

πŸ˜‚ And finally… don’t spend all your money. (Thanks, GG, not in finance; she just wanted to be involved.)

Just remember this is a bit of fun! Always seek guidance from a qualified financial advisor before making any big financial decisions. πŸ’ͺ✨

Pitch Perfect: Team ETS at Microsoft HQ

With September right around the corner, anticipation is building for next month’s Emergency Services Show and Emergency Tech Show!

Ahead of the show, Team ETS headed down to Paddington to visit Microsoft HQ and meet our partners exhibiting at the Microsoft Pavilion.

Lianne Bailey, Catherine Levin, Nancy McIntosh, Hayley Simpson, and Nathan Stovell kicked off the afternoon with a presentation packed with tips on what partners can expect and how to get the most out of their investment at the show.

Then the team took things up a notch with some Dragon’s Den-style pitches. The rules were simple: five minutes on the clock for each partner to showcase their offering directly to Microsoft and strengthen their relationship with the wider team.

The day wrapped up with networking drinks and plenty of conversation. Sadly, Bill Gates wasn’t there this time to raise a glass with the team, though we heard he sent his regards.

Make some noise for #ChooseEvents Week

#ChooseEvents Week is back!

From 1-4 September, AEO will be hosting Choose Events Week, and this time we want all of Nineteen shouting about it!

The mission is simple: celebrate the people who make events happen, showcase the incredible range of careers our industry offers, and inspire the next generation to choose events too.

Whether you’re in sales, ops, marketing, finance, or everything in between, share your story, celebrate your career journey, or just give a shoutout to a colleague who inspired you along the way.

Every post, every story, and every share adds to one united voice for events, and the louder we are, the further it travels.

Get on socials and use the hashtag #ChooseEvents, and help shine a light on why we LOVE working in events!

Team Americas

Building Momentum in the US!

It’s been another busy stretch for the US team, with lots of activity across our events, teams, and plans for the months ahead. We welcomed Jon to Boston, continued building momentum across The Lead, and celebrated a fantastic MaximoWorld in Nashville. We’re also excited to welcome a couple of new faces and see strong early momentum around SubSummit’s newest event. With plenty underway and an exciting fall ahead, there’s a lot to catch up on.
Here’s a look at what’s been happening across the US team!

Jon Swings by the Boston Office!Β  β›΅πŸ¦ž

Jon headed to Boston to spend time with the team and see first-hand the energy and momentum building across Nineteen Americas.
Rewind to just over a year ago, when Nineteen Americas was just Mary Larkin and Justin Childs (and a whole lot of ambition!), laying the foundations from the ground up. Fast forward to today: a bigger office, a bigger team, and that same KADI spirit now making waves right across the Americas. πŸ„πŸŒŠ
We LOVE to see it. 🩡

Six Years Strong: The Lead Drops Direct 60 List! πŸŽ‰

On 25 August, The Lead launched The Direct 60 List of 2026, marking six years of celebrating the sharpest executives redefining go-to-market strategy for some of the world’s most iconic brands. Honorees take center stage at The Direct 60 Forum on 8 October in New York City.

But wait…
The excitement doesn’t stop there!

The team is already gearing up for The Impact 50 List, launching 9 September, with its own celebration following on 22 October in New York City.

Rounding things off, Justin also caught up with Noah and The Lead team following a standout year for the business.

A Big Hello to some New Faces!Β

Please join us in welcoming three brilliant new faces to the Nineteen family!

Morgan Roux steps in as Marketing Coordinator with the Manufacturing Group, bringing fresh energy and creative spark.

Tim Sayers joins as Sales Director, also with the Manufacturing Group, ready to drive growth and build lasting partnerships.

And over at The Lead, Danny Eyzaguirre takes on the role of Senior Sales Director, adding serious firepower to the team.

Welcome aboard, Morgan, Tim, and Danny, we can’t wait to see all you’ll achieve! πŸš€βœ¨

SubSummit Mastermind Milestone!

The SubSummit team is thrilled to share some great progress on our first-ever SubSummit Mastermind, taking place 27 October at Nasdaq MarketSite in New York City.
Mastermind is a brand-new event format for SubSummit, designed to bring together a smaller, highly curated group of senior leaders from across the subscription industry for meaningful conversations, roundtables, and peer-to-peer connections.
It’s been fantastic to see such a strong response to a first-time event, and we’re looking forward to building on the momentum as we head into the final two months before the big day.

Team Oliver Kinross

Celebrations are in Order!

Eleanor Hall has been promoted to Sales Director for London Build, recognising her outstanding leadership and consistent results in driving the division forward.

Meanwhile, Nathan Kean steps up to Account Director, reflecting the strong client relationships and commercial success he’s built over the past year.

Please join us in congratulating El and Nathan on this incredible achievement! Very well deserved!

Team APAC

Message from Greg

Summer greetings from the APAC team!Β

It has been a high-energy first few weeks as we build strong momentum across our regional portfolio, from the vibrant market of Singapore to the expanding Australian construction landscape.

Right now, our full focus is on Safety & Security Asia at Sands Expo, Singapore, and Melbourne Build.

A big thank you to the team for their dedication, hard work, shared vision, and warm welcome as I settle into the role. We look forward to meeting many of you very soon!

Greg Bodiou
Group Portfolio Director APAC

Team Hong Kong

Catch-Up, Strategies, and Dim Sum! πŸ₯Ÿβœ¨

We were pleased to welcome Tristan and Greg to Hong Kong last week. Their visit gave the team a great opportunity to spend time together, catch up in person, and talk through upcoming projects and priorities.

And of course, no visit would be complete without some local hospitality; the team enjoyed a fantastic dim sum lunch together!

Counting down
to Melbourne Build! ⏰

Looking ahead, the Hong Kong team is now focused on preparations for Melbourne Build, which is just three months away.

Planning and coordination efforts are well underway, with teams working closely together to make sure everything is ready for a successful delivery.

There’s still plenty to do before we get there, but it’s exciting to see the momentum building as the countdown continues and the project moves closer to reality.

Team Singapore

Regine’s Exhibitor Briefing debut! 🌟

Big milestone on 27 August as Regine hosted her very first Exhibitor Briefing! A little nervous beforehand, understandably, but she needn’t have worried: the session ran smoothly and drew strong exhibitor attendance.

Next up, the team will be consolidating feedback and getting briefing materials out to exhibitors as event preparations continue at full speed.

A great first outing, well done, Regine!

Happy Birthday, Singapore!Β  πŸ¦πŸŽ‚

In true Singaporean fashion, the team marked National Day weekend (8-10 August) the way so many locals do: overseas!

This time, Team Singapore took on Phuket!

The trip doubled as the team’s first getaway together, and it delivered on all fronts: shopping, beach-hopping, massages and, naturally, plenty of good food.

A well-earned break and a great way to bond outside the office.

Happy birthday, Singapore!

Team TPA

Founder’s Rounders & Sunshine!

One of our favourite TPA traditions made its triumphant return: the annual Founder’s Rounders in Larkhall Park, and the weather well and truly knocked it out of the park, delivering glorious sunshine from start to finish.

Teams battled it out for rounders bragging rights, with Team 2 scoring a full rounder in the competition to take the win. Congratulations, Team 2, you smashed it!

Founder’s Rounders is always a jewel in the TPA social calendar and a brilliant excuse to swap the office for the outdoors.

TPA Walks the Walk for Solace Women’s Aid

On Saturday 22 August, 11 of us swapped our office chairs for walking shoes and took on a whopping 25km of the London Summer Walk, all in support of Solace Women’s Aid.

The team hit the pavement together, raising money for a brilliant cause. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we’ve raised an amazing Β£1,442 for the charity so far, and if you’d like to help us go the extra mile (or yard, depending on your unit of measurement), you can still donate here:

https://www.justgiving.com/page/tpasummerwalk2026forsolace

A huge well done to everyone who took part, and an even bigger thank you to everyone who donated, shared our fundraiser, or cheered us on from the sidelines.
Despite a few sore legs the next day, it was a great effort from TPA, and we’re incredibly proud to support an amazing cause.

In other news.

Running for a
Good Cause: Mike and Ollie Take on 50km πŸƒπŸ’¨

This October, two of our own are lacing up for a huge challenge. Mike and Ollie will be taking on the Kent Downs 50 Ultra Challenge, a 50km ultra marathon, on 10 October, all in support of Dementia UK.

This cause is close to home for both of them, and they’re taking on this challenge to help fund the vital support required for the individuals and their families living with dementia.

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Their Admiral Nurses provide life-changing care and support for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, and every donation helps the charity continue training and developing these nurses.
